A router helps to share your internet connection with all the internet connected devices in your house (like phones, computers, TV's, smart speakers, etc).

Without a router, your internet access will be available to only one device, and only at the install location plug inside your home.

Routers provided by fiberfly are wireless routers, so they also allow you to share your connection wirlessly without having to run cables across your house/business after we have completed the install process.

You are welcome to use your own router, but fiberfly does not warrant the performance of any customer provided equipment (i.e. routers, and other customer connected devices), and will be unable to troubleshoot any issues with a customer provided router.

For larger homes, with rooms >75ft from the wifi source, or with high radio interference or unusual RF reflections, 'wifi range extenders' can help to extend the wifi signal range. Wifi range extenders are also available for an additional $7 per month for each extender.
